A resiliency workshop series for veterinarians and other healthcare professionals

It can be so beneficial to discuss what goes on at work with other professionals who share similar experiences. It sounds simple, but telling your story and listening to others can be a powerful way to decrease burn-out and garner support.

The Let’s Talk Program consists of virtual workshops for staff members within the veterinary community: Veterinarians, Veterinary Technicians and Practice Managers. The focus of these workshops is to offer open-ended discussions of actual work experiences plus an introduction to practical Mindfulness, Cognitive-Behavioral and Self-Compassion skills. By scheduling six sessions, this workshop series allows time to process important shared issues that need articulating as well as introducing basic resiliency skills that can be applied in the clinic/hospital. No other program offers both of these critical resiliency building components. Participation in this program will lead to greater insight into the effects of the work environment with improved coping strategies.

Format: Six Sessions

  • One session per month

  • Each workshop is 90 minutes long

  • Meeting begins with open-ended discussion and processing

  • Second half focuses on resiliency strategies

  • Optional resiliency homework exercises are offered

  • All meetings are confidential
